...so much choice (how great is razzle dazzle rose for a crayola name?)
...I could eat 'em
...dinner with a special lady (we ate this)
...water play on the deck...
...and her (hideous) dress up handbag is never far
...a gift from an old family friend in Adelaide to celebrate our engagement years ago
...she twirled and swirled with this ribbon, and delighted in the silky touch on her bare skin...yet another reminder that 'toys' needn't be fancy
...some things just go together, like sandals and trikes
...her space in our little 1960s south coast rental
...two books at once...genius, I tell you
...a walk out to Bingie Bingie Point (I love this photograph that K took)

  1. That first photo makes me want to delve in and start scribbling :) Love the leggings in the second shot... where abouts did you find those cuties? Lots of water play here lately too - a bucket filled with water and plenty of assorted containers kept Sophie happy for at least an hour this morning :) Love the trike shot... can Saskia reach the pedals? I was thinking of getting one of those for Soph but had held off thinking her legs wouldn't be long enough... xx

    1. I bought those leggings from Country Road (on sale) - but have to admit that I wasn't so impressed with the quality - the knees are already looking quite worn and stretched - they do look cute though!...And no, Sassy can't reach the pedals! I spend a lot of time pushing her around - it has one of those nifty poles at the back which you can use to help push little ones along with. We picked that up for $5 at a recent garage sale - true story! One of my best garage sales finds :) x

    2. $5??? What a bargain!! We'd been thinking it might be a good 2nd birthday present so I might hold off then... x

  2. Is razzle dazzle rose a song? or part of a song? still, amaziing name! and as for "toys needn't be fancy" - I spent half an hour this weekend playing koala bears with our three year old neighbour. we cooked on a campfire and drove "cars" to the "spinach jungle" (his words for our vege garden). This was all with sticks, some bamboo, some flax, and some spinach leaves. imagination is a powerful thing and it was therapeutic for me to indulge in his for awhile .. x

    1. How lucky that you have a little neighbour with a big imagination - and how lucky that he has a friend like you so willing to be part of his world. It's refreshing to just play, I do understand x

  9. I'm a new visitor, and I have to add that I'm in awe of your photos. Just stunning! Can you give me some pointers? What lenses do you typically use (50mm?) and are the photos in this post edited using a preset that can be purchased? The colors are vibrant, yet the photo overall is soft. That's exactly what I'm seeking, but can't seem to accomplish editing on my own.
