Saskia: A rare moment of stillness in the midst of a Playschool concert (to steal some dance moves?).
Félix: A whole new world has opened up now you can sit in the highchair.

Saskia: Preparing a banana snack. You've shown a real interest in cooking and preparing food lately.
Félix: Oh my heart.

Saskia: It's been a week spent indoors recovering from the flu, but your face just says Joy. I love that about you.
Félix: We've been offering you solids but you're just not into it. Your thumb, on the other hand…

Saskia: They tell me that you love making art at school.
Félix: You came away with me for a girls weekend down the coast and you were an ideal companion, listening to the conversations and joining in with enthusiastic babble every now and then. I loved the opportunity to sleep next to you and wake up to your bright eyes and wide smile.

Saskia: I place a stack of books on your bed for 'quiet time' and you grab the first one from the pile. Oh my Lord, you exclaim. Just as I imagine she would say it. I fear you might share some traits with that little girl from the Plaza.
Félix: Finding a comfortable place to kick back. Lying on Daddy's tummy and stroking his neck. He was sick and you had just cut your second tooth in a week. My poor boys.

Saskia: A pause before you leap on and ride the slope. You are a bit of an adrenaline junkie. No fear.
Félix: Your first Wold Cup. At a friend's house for breakfast to watch Australia's first game v Chile (also trying to spot Grandfather in the crowd). We're hopeful they'll make the next stage…but if not, we'll jump on the Brazil bandwagon (a legitimate move for Daddy!).

Saskia: Building towers and trains for your animals (your most played with toys by far).
Félix: You have us all under your spell. We live for those smiles.
