Saskia: I heard you talking more than usual in quiet time the other day. You were chatting to your school friends, choosing books for them to read, singing songs, and doing a very convincing job of playing teacher. Oh dear.
Félix: You visited your Vovo's resting place for the first time on Father's Day. We always say how much you look like him.

Saskia: Garden fairy 'helping' to do some 'weeding'. Lucky succulents are so forgiving of toddlers' enthusiastic efforts.
Félix: Little Fox is a constant companion at the dinner table. He's always been a favourite.

Saskia: Most days you will ask, hopefully, Today I go to ballet stool?
Félix: Content. Come 3pm on a warm, sunny day, this corner of the balcony is the sweet spot.

Saskia: The Amelia bush is starting to bloom and colour our courtyard…but it also doubles as your shopfront, from which you sell ice creams, sticks, eggs and gum leaves. Each time I shop it totals fwenty dollars.
Félix: I spy 5 smiling faces.

Saskia: Grandfather & JanMa have been sending postcards from their travels around the UK and you have recognised a few places from your London City in a Bag set. Da big eye (London Eye), London Bridge (er, actually it's the Tower Bridge) and da tar marl (St Paul's apparently looks like the Taj Mahal).
Félix: Exploring the Magic Basket. It really does feel like it was only yesterday that I was gathering treasures for your sister's little hands….

Saskia: We visit the library regularly to satisfy your appetite for books. Shh! We Have a Plan is one of your favourites at the moment. Anything than can be read with dramatics will pique your interest.
Félix: Winter sun.

photo Wk411.jpg photo Wk311-1.jpg Saskia: Her first ballet class. I'll never forget the look in her eyes when I pulled the 'real ballerina' tutu out of the bag.
Félix: The best kind of audience (for a ballet dancing 2.5 year old).
