Saskia: She and Tilly waited at the front of the stage, so keen for the concert to begin. Two of her favourite things: dancing and singing.
Félix: In one of our favourite Canberra spots ever. The lush birch lawn in the Sculpture Garden. I'll forever associate this place with happy picnics surrounded by our little explorers and make believers.

Saskia: Your school teacher (childcare) asked you what you would like to learn at preschool as part of a 'welcome to a new classroom' exercise. Apparently, without flinching, you said, writing.
Félix: You've had an uncharacteristically grouchy week. I think you might be adding to the 8 little toothy pegs. Or maybe it's the frustration of wanting to get those baby legs to walk all by themselves now that you are standing and moving along with the help of the furniture.

Saskia: Another half nude photo (blame this hot and humid start to January) that we might just keep to ourselves.
Félix: Since turning one, it seems, you have uncovered a very driven and determined side. Not content to sit back and watch anymore, you want to be part of the game. If your sister is painting, you are painting. It doesn't seem to matter if it's over the top of her paintings, on your body or all over the outdoor furniture. Or all three.

Saskia: Not content with your own huge box of dress ups, you take to my drawers and shoe hanger and clop about the house in my t-shirts draped like dresses on your little body.
Félix: Fox and his lamb.
