Had a most blissful first day of maternity leave. Made all the more cheerful by a beautiful warm day. A Skype catch up with my little sister in London, buttermilk pikelets with my mum and a good friend, and a potter in the garden with Meu Amor.
It's a plain piece of paper that I've stuck over a flyer from a Cath Kidston purchase - using a little rose label (that I think is Cath Kidston also!)...I can't stand throwing pretty paper out.
I write up come of my favourite/often used recipes and stick them to the insides of my pantry door - and then whip 'em out and stick 'em to the wall/kitchen tiles when I need them! K thinks it's hilarious that I jazz them up. x
Oh, I was there a couple of months ago... Such a blissful time, although I got mighty impatient when my bub Lucinda came 5 days late. Your blog's name stuck out to me on the blogroll at Little Glowing Lights, for obvious reasons! Enjoy this time and don't listen when people say "enjoy it while it lasts". I've had plenty of lazy time since Lu arrived, now I just have a new tiny friend to enjoy it with.
I love the way the recipe is displayed! Is it on a wall or something? And where does the paper come from? x

Yippee for maternity leave. I absolutely relished in my pre Lenny weeks; coffee dates, solo movie excursions, pottering, preparing.... Enjoy xx
