A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, as a one year old.

A rare moment of stillness.

Taking part in Jodi's weekly portrait series

  1. she looks so peaceful - I like how S' top and the cushion kinda sorta match but also don't. x

    1. Ha! I noticed this too, once I'd snapped the picture....and then I thought, perhaps I could take some more one day and use them to send with my cards - they kind of have that holiday feel without being too Christmassy, no? x

    1. Thanks Kate! I actually reluctantly picked it, but as I didn't have many to choose from, I had to use it - for some reason I hardly picked up the camera this week...x
(now, your photos on the otherhand........)

  3. ^I was just about to say the same thing! Saskia's top and pillow fabric look identical. And I can totally relate those still moments with a one year old. They're rare indeed but, when they have happen it's sheer bliss : )

    1. They're quite similar, aren't they? Someone gave her that little romper for her birthday and it's just perfect for the burst of warm weather we are having...So you have a busy little person too? x

  4. Just beautiful! I am finding it increasingly hard to capture my little man. He is simply too busy and too quick! Or he has food in his mouth!! Hope your day is a lovely one.

    1. I can totally relate to that Steph.... most of my photos of the big boys these days take place at the meals table!
