10/52

Photobucket
A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, as a one year old.

Hasn't every child had a sink bath?

We've held her extra close over the last few days. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those beautiful children and teachers in Newtown, Connecticut.

Taking part in Jodi's weekly portrait series

  1. Very cute! Being sun smart too!
It's just heartbreaking, extra cuddles for my girls too. With my big girl the same age as many of the children, it is unimaginable :(

  2. A stunning capture Claire. Oh my heart....such tragedy. This morning I heard about a grade 1 teacher who hid her students in the cupboards. When the gunman came she told him the students had gone to the gym...and then he shot her. She saved the lives of all those little ones; a beautiful hero x

  4. Oh she is delightful! A perfect capture. It is just so utterly heartbreaking...so, so tragic. I'm trying so very hard to make sense of it all and keep hopeful in such a troubled time. Wishing you beautiful days with your baby girl :) x

  6. What a sweet photo. Reading Jodi's comment above makes me feel so full of saddness, more than I've already been feeling this weekend hearing of the tragic losses... unimaginable and heartbreaking x

  7. I too heard the story Jodi mentioned... to be able to think that quickly, that selflessly- I can only hope I would have done the same in that situation. My heart is breaking for those affected.

A gorgeous photo in light of the tragedy, though. Your girl is just gorgeous.
